Torch, Hafnium Torch

Hafnium Torch. Plasma fusion initiator, i.e. a nuclear fusion ‘spark-plug’.

Equipped with a Zeno processor for controlling the fiendishly complex plasma topology in the Torch’s Hafnium ignition chamber.

Each Torch is able to supply up to 0.8MW of electricity depending on the configuration of the fusion chamber’s magnetic confinement. Electricity is generated using a combination of MHD capture of kinetic energy from the fusion exhaust, and direct harnessing of charged fusion by-products.
