Nice Fermi Paradox Solution

A really nice, and unusually, non-depressing solution to the Fermi Paradox:
‘Any sufficiently advanced technology will be indistinguishable from nature’

I think it is Diaspora by Greg Egan where he discusses a suspiciously well-adapted organism that may well be the ancestor of a great technical civilization.
