The 2018 Nebula Award Nominees are out.



There was a time when I would look forward to the Nebula nominations, but I can’t say I feel particularly excited by most of this year’s shortlist. I’m probably just too old-school (or simply old?) for this years batch of Young-Adult, Post Apocalyptic, Urban Fantasy. It would be nice to see a little more diversity 😉

At the moment it feels like we are getting a major press release daily about the Moon or Mars. I am getting excited! Given the choice, I would certainly rather watch audacious human achievements streaming in 4K, than a bunch of last generation fanatics pushing their 18th Century agenda through our broken political institutions…

lets get some hope back into the equation!
