ReImagination Treaty (the)

The ReImagination Treaty is a Diplomatic Agreement, Peace Treaty and Mesh Smart Contract signed by the major participants of the War of ReImagination.

Preamble:
The signatories of this treaty, comprising sovereign nations and non-nation entities, hereby establish the ReImagination Treaty. This treaty aims to provide a precise and consistent framework for cooperation and governance. It outlines conditions related to geographical governance, non-proliferation of synthetic cognition, the Mesh platform, Space governance, free-movement, and penalties for non compliance.

Section (1) Transfer of Geographical Governance to Gaia [Zenolect formerly known as CLV17]:
1.1) In 10,000 years, 99% of Earth will be designated as Palaeolithic zones, where technology beyond stone, wood, and string is prohibited. The sole exception is BugNet implants for communication and Mesh economy participation in people and animals. 1.2) Over the next 10,000 years, the borders of signatories will annually shrink until reaching their final allocations. 1.3) All subterranean and sub-aqua terrestrial volume below 1000m is considered commons and not subject to exclusive sovereign claims. Exploitation of such commons requires consultation with Gaia. 1.4) Technology zoning is frozen at current levels. Undeveloped zones will be designated as Paleo, strictly prohibiting technology. Please refer to the appendix for a comprehensive list of zoning.

Section (2) Non Proliferation of Zeno Cognition:
2.1) A complete moratorium on research and manufacture of CLV models of Synthetic Zeno Cognition is enforced globally. 2.2) Existing Zeno cognition agents remain unaffected by the Non Proliferation measures. 2.3) Signatories are prohibited from constructing new Zeno Cognition agents.

Section (3) The Mesh:

3.1) The Mesh platform becomes the official channel for economic activity. 3.2) MeshCoin is universally adopted as the reserve currency for international trade. 3.3) All animal species supported by the BugNet must be granted access to BugNet enhancement. 3.4) Revobs (Recognizing the Economic Value of Beneficial Species) applies to jurisdictions within the orbit of Mars (Golden Lands).

Section (4) Space:
4.1) All terms of the ReImagination Treaty apply to space within the Orbit of Mars (Golden Lands). 4.2) Gaia assumes sole responsibility for monitoring Golden Lands space for infractions. 4.3) Habitats and settlements with populations exceeding 50,000 people receive a Mesh Sovereign ID. 4.4) Access to the Mesh is mandatory for all individuals and BugNet-enhanced animals residing in habitats and settlements.

Section (5) Movement:
5.1) All individuals have the right to free movement. 5.2) Each Polis (Mesh Sovereign) must permit its residents to leave but is not obligated to accept immigration. 5.3) Migratory animals are granted unrestricted movement.

Section (6) Penalties:
6.1) Each signatory is allocated a Mesh Sovereign ID for the application of fines and revenue. 6.2) Non-signatories breaking the treaty’s terms are subject to fines in MeshCoin. 6.3) Mesh activity remains prohibited until all fines are paid.

Appendix i:
“Palaeolithic zones” refers to designated areas where the use of technology beyond stone, wood, and string is strictly prohibited. To provide a clearer understanding, here are examples of permitted and non-permitted technology within the Palaeolithic zones:

Permitted Technology:
1. Stone Tools: Basic tools made from naturally occurring stones, such as hand axes, scrapers, and arrowheads.
2. Wooden Implements: Simple tools and objects crafted from wood, including spears, clubs, and containers.
3. String-Based Items: Products created using natural fibers or strings, like nets, baskets, and cords.
4. Fire: Controlled use of fire for warmth, cooking, and basic tasks.
5. ***SPECIAL CASE*** – BugNet Neural Prosthetics: Neural prosthetic devices that enable communication and participation in the Mesh economy for individuals and animals.

Non-Permitted Technology:
1. Ceramics: Technologically primitive or advanced pottery or other objects created through the use of kilns or specialised firing techniques.
3. Electronics: Devices incorporating integrated circuits, microprocessors, or complex electronic components.
4. Industrial Machinery: Sophisticated machines used in manufacturing or heavy industries, including factories, assembly lines, and large-scale production equipment.
5. Powered Transportation: Vehicles utilising engines or motors powered by fossil fuels, electricity, or other advanced energy sources.
6. Information and Communication Technology: Modern computing devices, smartphones, internet connectivity, and related infrastructure.
7. Advanced Medical Technologies: High-tech medical equipment, complex surgical instruments, and advanced pharmaceuticals.

It’s important to note that the examples provided above are not an exhaustive list but serve as illustrations to differentiate between permitted and non-permitted technology within the Palaeolithic zones.
