The Twist, Consciousness and Reality
Conscious minds are not confined to the Physical Plane [i.e. Realist Physicalist Space-time] but extend onto the fundamental computational layer [Infinite Substrate] of the Plurality [Omniverse]. Computational concepts and psychological concepts such as qualia are native primitives of this fundamental computational layer. There are many Physical Planes. Physical Planes are analogous to *VMs* running on the fundamental computational layer [Infinite Substrate] of the Plurality [Omniverse].
There is no programmer or system admin. A Physical Plane does not run as somebody’s simulation, however the relationship between the Substrate and the Physical Planes is analogous to the relationship between an emulation and the hardware it sits on.
Note: While Planes of existence supervene directly on the Infinite Substrate, Realms are simulations which execute upon 2nd layer computational substrates, e.g.the Consensus Environment of Samau Mandela is a virtual reality environment running within the computational environment of the Mesh. Realms can also run on evolved organic computational environments e.g. dreams or shared hallucinations can be considered Realms.
A mind is a universe. A person can be though of representing a single Temporal Trajectory.
‘Past history‘ is just as flexible as ‘future history‘. The fundamental computational layer [Infinite Substrate] of the Plurality [Omniverse] is able to edit and confabulate history in both directions to anneal observation made in the present backwards and forwards in time.
The fundamental computational layer [Infinite Substrate] encodes the principle of ‘Simplification of Information‘ such that any ontological truths shared between Temporal Trajectories are represented only once on the fundamental computational layer [Infinite Substrate]. Hence Temporal Trajectories share many of the same ontological objects. Temporal Trajectories with significant overlap of shared ontology are said to belong to the same Temporal Trajectory Assemblage.
There is no persistence on the Infinite Substrate, however cyclic patterns can produce quasi-persistence, e.g. simple oscillators or more complex time-crystals.
This linkage between the fundamental computational layer [Infinite Substrate] and the Physical Plane [Realist Physicalist Space-time] is called a Twist.
A person, regardless of whether they are Human, Dolphin, Rahan, Torch, etc, has executes cognition directly on the fundamental computational layer [Infinite Substrate] of the Plurality [Omniverse]. The Twist is the data channel which allows the Physical Plane to access the vast reservoirs of non-Turing computation available on the Infinite Substrate.
Regardless of how many Realms or Planes intervene between a persons locus of perception and the Infinite Substrate, a person’s Twist spirals all the way down directly to the fundamental reality at the base of the stack…
Some Implications:
The term ‘person’ can be considered synonymous with the concept of a Temporal Trajectory within the context of the Plurality [Omniverse]. A ‘person’ *IS* their path across spacetime, encapsulated by its entire history; past to future.
The physical aspect of a person, i.e. the portion of a person that projects into the Physical Plane can be thought of as the person’s Persistence Layer. While confined to the Physical Plane [Realist Physicalist Space-time], the information stored on the Physical Plane is linked via an information channel [Tiwst] to the fundamental computational layer [Infinite Substrate] of the Plurality [Omniverse].
Consciousnesses computational components are native to the Infinite Substrate, that is consciousness is not located on the Physical Plane. Computational concepts and psychological concepts such as qualia are native to the fundamental computational layer [Infinite Substrate] of the Plurality [Omniverse].
Memory is stored in different ways:
(1) Long-term memories are stored in various physical structures on the Physical Plane, for example the arrangement of tubulin-subunits within micro-tubules or, additionally, in higher animals, in the weights of the neural connectome.
(2) The short-term or working memory of conscious entities is stored as ephemeral patterns within the Twist, i.e. the linkage between the Infinite Substrate and the Physical Plane [Realist Physicalist Space-time].
